Club
Managers' Association Singapore
(CMAS),
an
association of club managers and
club professionals, was incepted
in 3rd October 1996 for the
purpose of meeting, sharing and
networking towards professionalism
of the club industry.
Currently, the CMAS has 56 members who manage
some of the most prestigious
country, town, golf, faculty and
sports clubs in Singapore.
The CMAS ExCo is grateful and
delighted to have David Brightling
answer our call for a CMAS
Newsletter Editor!
As part
of this year’s initiatives, we
debuted our maiden issue of the
CMAS Newsletter, aptly titled
Singapore Club Manager
at the CMAS 13th Anniversary at
the CMAS/Trade Networking Evening
on 2nd April at The Pines. Copies
of the newsletter were literally
taken “hot off the press” and
presented to all our guests at the
networking evening. Needless to
say, many were impressed with the
well placed and interesting
articles.
Here’s a note
from our Editor, David….
Ultimately, the success of
Singapore Club Manager will depend
upon Singapore content, on
contributions from you, the
members of CMAS. Just as
International Symposium
participants learned as much from
each other as from the outstanding
professional development
opportunities at the World
Conference, your fellow members
can benefit from your experience.
Have you introduced a new facility
or service? Recently hosted a
major event? Survived – or even
better thrived – during a
renovation? If so, please share
your experience with your
colleagues through the pages of
Singapore Club Manager.
Submissions large or small,
photos, simple ideas, questions
you would like answered in a
future issue, will all be welcome.
Please forward these, your
comments and suggestions, to me at
brightling@one15marina.com.
The deadline for the next issue is
Monday 16 June.
